About Me

I am a Maverick-Non Conformist-Spiritual-Vegetarian-Technocrat-Liberal-Activist. Whew! That almost sounded like one of those long German words! These few tidbits of my life may give you an idea of who I am.

Balance: I think it is important for us to have a balance between our professional, personal, social and spiritual lives. Only then can we be happy and abundant.

Service: Regardless of the situation we are in, we can always serve others in some way. We  don’t have to be a millionaire to donate a 100 dollars to somebody. You just need to have a 100 dollars more than we need.

Flow of life: There is a divine timing to life, to how things will manifest and evolve. One may call it law of nature. Then there is a human timing for life, this is when and how we want to manifest certain things in life. I have noticed that  life flows freely and harmoniously when the divine timing and human timing meet.

Inspirations: I am inspired by people who think big and who follow their dreams, in spite of the trials and tribulations on their path. I tend to side with people who have resisted the wave of popular beliefs to  bring more clarity and purpose to our lives. Some of my heroes: Buddha, Dalai Lama, Paramahamsa Yogananda, Swami Vivekananda, Jiddu Krishnamurthy, Steve Jobs, Mohandas Gandhi, Jai Uttal, Bernie Sanders.

Imperfection: Perfection is a journey and not a destination. I don’t seek perfection in anything or in anybody, for perfection is a mental construct we form in a certain context. Just like the context of life changes every moment, our perception of perfection also changes. When I am convinced of an idea, I jump in and manifest it. Somethings in life are better done imperfectly than not having done them at all.

Spirituality: I am a Yogi, Yoga (not just asana but all the 8 eight limbs) is an important aspect of my life, I strive to live my life as per yogic principles as much as possible.

Communication:  I am a straight shooter, I don’t beat around the bush, I mean what I say. You get what you see, no surprises later 🙂 I have a sarcastic sense of humor.

Lifestyle: I’m a balanced, well-rounded and worldly-wise person, with an open mind and tolerance to diverse beliefs, people and cultures. I am generally a centered and calm person, I meditate daily. I think big but I live a simple life. I am ambitious but also pragmatic. I am structured in my work but very fluid and go with the flow in personal life. I am fascinated by philosophy, sociology, spirituality, metaphysics, social issues, health and wellness. I don’t like to talk about petty things and I don’t waste my time saving pennies. I love being close to natural settings (hiking, beach, mountains, walks in the woods). Other interests: writing, singing, comedy shows, dancing, reading, traveling, practicing various aspects of yoga: meditation, pranayama, asana and yoga philosophy. I strive to live my life based on the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Background: I come from a city called Hyderabad in South India. Moved to Los Angeles, California in 2004 and have been here since then. I spend my weekdays in Los Angeles and my weekends in Frazier Park, CA. My retreat center, Moksha Spiritual Center, is located in Frazier Park.
